Couples Counseling
Couples therapy aims to improve self-knowledge and patterns of interaction between partners.
Improve your relationships
The main goal of couples therapy is increasing your knowledge about yourself, your partner and the patterns of interaction between you. Therapy assists you and your partner in breaking ineffective patterns and develop healthy ways of relating to each other.
Some questions you might ask to begin the process:
- What kind of life do you want to build together?
- What kind of partner do you aspire to be in order to build the kind of life and relationship you want to create?
- What are the challenges to becoming the kind of partner you aspire to be?
- What are the skills and knowledge necessary to do the above tasks?
To create the relationship you really desire, there will be some compromises and feelings of discomfort for each person.
Understanding that time and planning are valuable to this goal. But with effort and motivation, couples can find peace, freedom, love in connecting in a whole-hearted manner.
